The HMS Janus was a British destroyer of the J class. She was built in Wallsend-on-Tyne by S.Hunter & W.Richardson Ltd. during 1937, and launched during 1938.

Fu costruito a Wallsend-on-Tyne dai cantieri S.Hunter & W.Richardson Ltd. nel 1937, e varato nel 1938..

She took a part in the Allied landing operations at Anzio: on January 23, 1944, she was torpedoed and sunk by a German aircraft off the coast of Anzio.

Prese parte alle operazioni per lo sbarco Alleato ad Anzio: il 23 Gennaio 1944 fu silurato ed affondato da un aerosilurante Tedesco al largo della costa di Anzio.
