     The AE-2 Australian submarine
     off Karaburum Point, 1915

The AE-2 was an Australian submarine based in Lmnos Island (Greece) during the I World War. 
She was sunk off Karaburum Point (Marmara Sea) by a Turkish gunship during the unlucky campaign of Gallipoli.

L' AE-2 era un sommergibile Australiano che era stato destinato alla base dell'Isola di Limnos (Grecia) durante la I Guerra Mondiale.
Fu affondato al largo del Capo di Karaburum (Mar di Marmara) da una cannoniera Turca nel corso della sfortunata campagna di Gallipoli.

The hull is still in good conditions (the picture shows the bow with the anchor chain) and lies in navigation trim on a sandy bottom, at a depth of -72m.

Lo scafo è ancora in buone condizioni (l'illustrazione mostra la prua con la catena dell'ancora) e giace in assetto di navigazione su un fondo sabbioso, ad una profondità di -72m.
