The Roman trade
vessel of Mahdia
The ancient Ship of Mahdia was a large Roman trade vessel carrying a cargo of marbles and sculptures, sunk near Mahdia possibly between the end of the II and the beginning of the I Century B.C. The hull is about 40m long, and lies at a depth of -39m: it was discovered by a sponge diver during 1907.
L'antica
Secolo A.C. . . Several archaeological campaigns have
been brought on from the discovery of the wreck to present days, and a
very large amount of precious findings have been recovered. . Numerose
