      The Elviscott Greek cargo 
      off Pomonte 1972

The Elviscott was a small Greek merchant ship carrying a cargo of wood, that sank South of Pomonte (South-western coast of Elba) in consequence of adverse weather cnditions during 1972.

L' Elviscott era un piccolo mercantile Greco che trasportava un carico d legname, affondato a Sud del paese di Pomonte (coste occidentali dell' Elba) nel 1972, a causa di avverse condizioni meteorologiche..

The hull lies on a sandy bottom at a depth of -13m, 150m of the shore and a few meters South of the rock of Ogliera.
The bow is almost destroyed, but the stern is in very good conditions, and the dive on the Elviscott is easy and spectacular: the water is always very clear, and the wreck is populated by colorful school of fishes.

Lo scafo giace su un fondo di sabbia ad una profondità di -13m, a 150 metri dalla riva e pochi metri a sud dello scoglio dell' Ogliera.
La prua è quasi distrutta, ma la poppa è in ottime condizioni, e l'immersione sull' Elviscott è facile e spettacolare: l'acqua è sempre molto limpida e il relitto è popolato da branchi di pesci colorati.
