U-74 German VII-B class submarine

The VII-B class submarines were 66.5m long; max speed 17kn (surfaced) 7.5kn (submerged); five 533mm torpedo launchers, one 88mm gun, one 20mm machine gun. The U-74
was one of the very few VII-B class German submarines that served
in Mediterranean: she was
built in Bremen by Bremer Vulkan during 1939, and launched during 1940.
