    II Century B.C.

.

The ancient Ship of Les Sorres was a large Roman trade vessel (Les Sorres VIII) carrying a cargo of wine in amphorae, and sunk during the II Century B.C. in the harbour of Les Sorres (Catalunia).
Among the most interesting findings there are two Etruscan helmets, possibly used by the crew as a defense against pirates.

.
