The Roman vessel
of La Yuca Beach (Benalmadena)  .

The ancient Ship of La Yuca was a Roman trade vessel carrying a cargo of marble statues and architectural elements, sunk off la Yuca beach near Benalmadena (Malaga) between the II and the III Century A.D. . L' antica Nave di la Yuca era una nave commerciale Romana, che trasportava un carico di statue in marmo e di elemanti architettonici, affondata presso la spiaggia di La Yuca presso Benalmadena (Malaga) tra il Secondo ed il Terzo Secolo D.C. The cargo was probably destined to the construction of a temple beyond the Gibraltar Strait. Il carico era destinato probabilmante alla costruzione di un tempio al di là dello Stretto di Gibilterra. Club of amateur scuba-divers, and the most interesting findings were the
pieces of a marble sculpture representing Artemis (above): the restored sculpture
is now exposed in the Museum of Benalmadena. Una

di subacquei dilettanti, e i reperti di maggiore interesse sono le
