of Secca della Colombaia
. The ancient Ship of the Colombaia was a Roman trade vessel, carrying a cargo of Dressel 24 and Mana 2 amphorae (right), sunk near the dangerous Secca della Colombaia during the I Century B.C. . L'antica Nave della Colombaia era un'oneraria Romana, che trasportava un carico di anfore di tipo Mana 2 (a destra) e Dressel 24, affondata presso la pericolosa Secca della Colombaia (Ustica) nel corso del I Secolo A.C. Some fragments of the hull, two
lead anchors, a small millstone and some lead tubes, possibly parts of the
bilge pump, have been recovered
from the wreck, that lies at a depth of -45m. Dal
