UE-I-class German submarine
L' U-72 era un sommergibile posamine oceanico Tedesco della Classe UE-I: fu costruito ad Amburgo nei cantieri Vulcan nel corso del 1915, e varato nel 1916. . The submarines of the UE-I class were 56.80m long; displacement 755 tons (surfaced) 832 tons (submerged); max speed 10.6kn (surfaced) 7.9kn (submerged); two 533mm torpedo launchers, 38 mines, one 105mm gun. They were designed to dive down to -50m.
