    The Roman vessel of Marina di Sorso
    I-II Century A.D.

The Ship of Marina di Sorso was a Roman trade vessel, that sank near Marina di Sorso - Marritza, between the first and the second Century A.D. 

La Nave di Marina di Sorso era una nave oneraria Romana affondata presso Marina di Sorso - Marritza tra il Primo ed il Secondo Secolo D.C.

Among the most interesting findings, three large iron anchors (left), and a large amount of fragments of Dressel 2-4 wine amphorae (right) and of Dressel 7-11 amphorae, probably containing fish preserves. 
Parts of the hull and of the mast have been recovered from the sandy bottom, 200m from the coast at a depth of -3m.

Sono state rinvenute tre grandi ancore in ferro (a sinistra), ed una gran quantità di frammenti di anfore vinarie tipo Dressel 2-4 (a destra) e di tipo Dressel 7-11, che contenevano probabilmente conserve di pesce. Alcune parti dello scafo e dell'albero sono state recuperate dal fondo marino, a circa 200m della costa e -3m di profondità.

It is possible that the findings belong to two different ships, sunk in the same age but in different moments.

E' possibile che i reperti appartengano a due navi differenti, affondate nella stessa epoca ma in circostanze differenti.
