The HMS Jersey  was a J-class British destroyer, built in Cowes by J.S.White & Co. during 1937 and launched during 1938.

L' HMS Jersey era un cacciatorpediniere Britannico della Classe J, costruito a Cowes nei cantieri J.S.White & Co. nel corso del 1937, e varato nel 1938.

During December 1939, the HMS Jersey had a fight with the German mine layers Z10 and Z12, and was damaged by a torpedo, but could return to her base.
During October 1940, she collided with a floating mine, and again suffered damages but survived. 

Nel Dicembre 1939, l' HMS Jersey ebbe uno scontro a fuoco con i posamine Tedeschi Z10 e Z12, e fu danneggiato da un siluro, ma potè far ritorno alla base.
Nell' Ottobre 1940 entrò in collisione con una mina galleggiante, e di nuovo fu danneggiato ma sopravvisse.

On May 2, 1941, the HMS Jersey was cruising off Malta, when she collided with an Italian floating mine: this time the damages were so severe that she sank off La Valletta harbour.

Il 2 Maggio 1941, l' HMS Jersey stava incrociando al largo di Malta, quando di nuovo entrò in collisione con una mina: ma questa volta i danni furono così gravi che il cacciatorpediniere Britannico affondò al largo del porto di La Valletta.
