    The Imperial Eagle ferry
North-East of Qwara Point (St. Paul's Bay)

.

.

The Imperial Eagle was one of the ferryboats connecting Malta and Gozo.
The hull, in navigation trim, lays on a sandy bottom at a depth of -42m, 300m North-East of Qwara Point.

.

The wide hold is open, and the wreck allows an easy and interesting dive.
A large statue, representing a blessing Jesus about 3m high, rises a few meters from the old ferry.
