The ancient Ship of Xlendi was a Punic trade vessel, sunk about 1 mile off the ancient harbour of Xlendi during the III Century B.C. The wreck was discovered and studied by means of a ROV (Remotely Piloted Vehicle).

The wreck is an interesting evidence of ongoing trade between Rome and Carthago in the period of Punic Wars.

The sandy bottom is scattered of thousands of remains, most of which are III Century B.C. amphorae, covering an area 100m wide and 400m long, at a depth of -100 to -120m.
