    The HMS Upholder U-class British submarine

The HMS Upholder  was the top-scorer British submarine. 
(...I think it's a sad thing: there are "top-scorers" in killing somebody else...)
She was an U-class British submarine, built by Vickers Armstrong in Barrow during 1939 and launched during 1940.

Era un sommergibile della classe U, costruito a Barrow dai cantieri Vickers Armstrong nel corso del 1939, e varato nel 1940.

She was based in Malta (10th Flotilla) and operated 25 missions, sinking 2 destroyers, 3 submarines (the Italian Tembien, Saint Bon and Tricheco), 3 troop carriers (among them, the Italian liner Conte Rosso), 10 cargo ships (among them, the Italian Neptunia and Oceania in the same day), 2 tankers, 1 trawler, totalling 128000 tons.

La sua base operativa era Malta (10° Flottiglia), dalla quale effettuò 25 missioni, affondando 2 cacciatorpediniere, 3 sommergibili (gli Italiani  Tembien, Saint Bon e Tricheco), tre trasporti truppe (tra essi, l'Italiano Conte Rosso), 10 navi da trasporto (tra essi, gli Italiani Neptunia ed Oceania, nello stesso giorno), 2 petroliere, un peschereccio, totalizzando 128000 tonnellate.

On April 14, 1942, the HMS Upholder attacked an Italian convoy heading to Tripoli, but was in turn attacked by the Italian torpedo-boat Pegaso and sank by depth charges North of Tripoli, about 35°00'N, 16°00'E. 
No man of the brave and unlucky crew could be rescued.

Il 14 Aprile 1942, l' HMS Upholder attaccò un convoglio Italiano in rotta per Tripoli, ma fu a sua volta attaccato con bombe di profondità dalla torpediniera Italiana Pegaso, e affondò a Nord di Tripoli, circa a 35°00'N, 16°00'E.
Nessun uomo del coraggioso e sfortunato equipaggio potè salvarsi.
