    The HMS Hereward British H-class destroyer 
    South of Crete 1941

 

The HMS Hereward was an H-class British destroyer, built in Newcastle by Vickers Armstrong during 1935, and launched during 1936.

L' HMS Hereward era un cacciatorpediniere Britannico della Classe H, costruito a Newcastle nei cantieri Vickers Armstrong nel corso del 1935, e varato nel 1936.

On May 29, 1941, the HMS Hereward was spotted and attacked by a German Junkers Ju 88 torpedo bomber.
The British destroyer  was severely damaged by the torpedo, and sank South of Crete.
