    The HMS Kashmir British K-class destroyer
    South of Crete 1941

The HMS Javelin was a K-class British destroyer, built in Southampton by Thornycroft during 1937, and launched during 1939. She was later renamed HMS Kashmir.

On October 11, 1940, the HMS Kashmir left Plymouth together with the British destroyers HMS Jaguar, HMS Broke and HMS Kipling to escort the British Battleship HMS Revenge, that was going to bomb the French harbour of Cherbourg. 
During 1941, the HMS Kashmir moved in Mediterranean.

L' 11 Ottobre 1940, l' HMS Kashmir salpò da Plymouth insieme ai cacciatorpediniere HMS Jaguar, HMS Broke ed HMS Kipling, per scortare la corazzata HMS Revenge che si apprestava a cannoneggiare il porto Francese di Cherbourg.
Nel 1941, l' HMS Kashmir fu destinato in Mediterraneo.

On May 23, 1941, the British destroyer  was spotted and attacked by a German Junkers Ju. 88 bomber. 
The HMS Kashmir was heavily damaged by the bombs, and sank South of Crete. 

Il 23 Maggio 1941, il cacciatorpediniere fu avvistato ed attaccato da un bombardiere Tedesco Junkers Ju 88.
L' HMS Kashmir fu gravemente danneggiato dalle bombe, e affondò a Sud di Creta.
