    The HMS Imperial British I-class destroyer
    North of Crete 1941

 

The HMS Imperial was an I-class British destroyer, built and launched in Hebburn-on-Tyne by Hawthorn Leslie & Co. during 1936.

At the beginning of the II World War, the HMS Imperial moved in Mediterranean.

All'inizio della II Guerra Mondiale, l' HMS Imperial fu destinato in Mediterraneo.

On May 29, 1941, she was spotted and attacked by some German Junkers Ju 87 Stuka dive bombers. 
The HMS Imperial was so heavily damaged by the precise bombing, that she had to be scuttled North of Crete.
