    The HMS Simoon S-class British submarine
    off Kos 1944

The HMS P-75 was an S-class British submarine, built in Birkenhead by Cammell Laird Shipyard during 1941, and launched in 1942.
After the launch, she was renamed in HMS P-225, and again in HMS Simoon.

On August 9, 1943, the HMS Simoon sank the Italian destroyer Gioberti off La Spezia (Ligurian Sea).

During November 1943, she left Port Said (Egypt) heading to the Egean Sea. 
On November 19, the German radio news bulletins announced that a British submarine has been torpedoed and sank by the German submarine U-565 off Kos Island, and that a few men of the crew have been rescued.

It's unlikely that the British submarine could have been the HMS Simoon: she was supposed to be far from Kos. 
Anyway, the HMS Simoon failed in returning to her base.
