     The Greek vessel of Mykonos Island
     V Century B.C.

The ancient Ship of Mykonos was a Greek trade vessel carrying a cargo of wine amphorae (right), sunk off Mykonos Island during the V Century B.C.
The bottom, about -15 to -25m deep, is scattered of remains and broken amphorae, some encrusted in the substrate. No traces of the hull can be observed, and the cargo has been just partially recovered.

L'antica Nave di Mikonos era una nave oneraria Greca che trasportava un carico di anfore vinarie (a destra), affondato al largo dell'Isola di Mykonos nel corso del V Secolo A.C.
Il fondale roccioso, tra i -15m e i -25m, è cosparso di resti e di anfore rotte, talune incrostate nel substrato. Non è possibile osservare alcuna traccia dello scafo, ed il carico è stato recuperato solo parzialmente.

Some ancient lead anchors can be seen in the proximities of the greek hull, on deeper bottoms.
