    The Tantine tug near Bagaud Island (Port Cros)

We have very few informations on the Tantine, the wreck that lies in front of Bagaud Island, in the Marine Park of Port Cros: probably she was a tug, sunk in consequence of adverse weather conditions.

Non abbiamo molte informazioni sulla Tantine, il relitto che giace di fronrte all'Isola di Bagaud, nel Parco Marino di Port Cros: forse era un rimprchiatore, affondato a causa diavverse condizioni meteorologiche.

The wreck, 20m long, lies on a sandy bottom at a depth of -48m: it is characterized by a heavy crane (about 3m high), and by a large number of bricks, probably its last cargo. 

Il relitto, lungo 20m, giace su un fondale sabbioso di circa 48m: e caratterizzato da una grande gru alta 3m e da un gran numero di mattoni, l'ultimo carico della Tantine.

The dive on the Tantine is not very interesting for the wreck itself, but for the dense, lively population of eels (Conger conger) that colonize the hull: many individuals are more than 2m long, and a few of them attain 3m, and a weight of 60kg!

L' immersione sulla Tantine non è interessante per il relitto in sè, ma per la vivace e densa popolazione di gronghi (Conger conger) che colonizzano il relitto: molti individui sono lunghi più di 2m, ed alcuni raggiungono i 3m, ed i 60kg di peso.
