The Roman vessel of La Palud
The ancient Ship of La Palud was a Roman trade vessel carrying a cargo of North African olive oil and garum (fish preserves) in large African amphorae (left and below), sunk near Port-Cros during VI Century A.D. . L' antica Nave di La Palud era un'oneraria Romana che trasportava un carico di olio d' oliva e di garum (salsa di pesce) in anfore di tipo Africano Grande (a sinistra e sotto), affondato presso Port Cros nel corso del VI Secolo D.C.
