    The Quintino Sella Italian destroyer

The Quintino Sella was an Italian destroyer, built during 1935, and srving in the Regia Marina during the II World War. 

Il Quintino Sella era un cacciatorpediniere Italiano, costruito nel 1935, che servì nella Regia Marina durante la II Guerra Mondiale.

During the night of March 25, 1941, the Italian destroyers Crispi and Sella launched six single-man high-speed explosive motor boats just off the British base of Sud (Crete).
One explosive motor boat hit the British cruiser HMS York, that rapidly sank in the bay.

Nella notte del 25 Marzo, i cacciatorpediniere Italiani Crispi e Sella misero in mare sei barchini esplosivi presso la base Britannica di Suda (Creta).
Un barchino esplosivo colpì la fiancata dell'incrociatore Britannico HMS York, che affondò rapidamente nelle baia.

The Quintino Sella sank off Lido di Venezia in couse of a torpedo attack during 1943. 

Il Quintino Sella affondò al largo del Lido di Venezie a causa di un siluramento nel 1943.

The central part of the hull was destroyed by the devastating explosion of the steam boilers, hit by the torpedoes.
The bow and the stern sections lie on a sandy bottom at a depth of about -20m.

La parte centrale dello scafo fu distrutta dalla devastante esplosione delle caldaie, colpite dai siluri.
