                   Scubapro Mk 2

Since 1957, the American manifacturer Healthways produced a large number of magnificent and original regulators.

The Healthways products were sold in shopping malls and supermarkets, and this fact seemed to be negative for the high quality image required by diving equipments.
So Healthways established a professional equipments division, that was called Scubapro.

I prodotti Healthways erano venduti nei centri commerciali e nei supermercati, e questo fatto sembrò avere un effetto negativo sull'immagine di alta qualità richiesta per attrezzature da immersione.
Così Healthways fondò una divisione di prodotti professionali, che fu chiamata Scubapro.

The brand was later acquired by Underwater Sports Inc., founded by the former importer of the Italian Cressi-sub: the first Scubapro regulators were, actually, very similar to Cressi-sub ones. 
In 1976, Scubapro was acquired by Johnson & Johnson.

Il marchio fu in seguito rilevato dall'ex importatore americano di Cressi-sub, e bisogna osservare che i primi erogatori Scubapro erano molto simili ai Cressi-sub. 
Nel 1976, Scubapro fu acquistata dalla multinazionale Johnson & Johnson.
