                  Cressi-sub Polaris S 5

Cressi-sub is one of the most representative brands in sport and professional diving. The Rondine fins and the Pinocchio mask (both designed by prof. Luigi Ferraro for Egidio Cressi in Genova at the end of the II WW) were revolutionary projects, that established the standard characteristics of the equipments that are still in use.

Cressi-sub è uno dei marchi più rappresentativi nella storia dell'immersione sportiva e professionale. Le pinne Rondine e la maschera Pinocchio (entrambe create dal prof. Luigi Ferraro per Egidio Cressi a Genova alla fine della Seconda Guerra mondiale) erano progetti rivoluzionari, che fissarono le caratteristiche standard degli attrezzi tuttora in uso.

The Cressi-sub Polaris S 5 has the typical look of the regulators built in the early sixties. It derives from the simple and efficient design that gave origin also to a generation of Scubapro regulators.
It was provided with a balanced and rotating piston first stage, with one high-pressure and two low-pressure outlets.

Il Cressi-sub Polaris S 5 aveva il tipico aspetto degli erogatori costruiti nei primi anni sessanta. Deriva dal semplice ed efficiente progetto da cui originò anche una generazione di erogatori Scubapro.
Era equipaggiato con un primo stadio a pistone bilanciato rotante, con una uscita di alta pressione e due di bassa pressione.
