The Museo Archeologico Regionale Eoliano hosts a very important Marine Archaeology section. The sea around the Aeolian Islands is rich of wrecks and many findings come from the proximities of dangerous rocks and seiches or from ancient harbours and shelters. 
Now the findings are beautifully displayed and explained in the suggestive halls of the ancient Castello di Lipari.

Il Museo Archeologico Regionale Eoliano ospita una importantissima sezione di Archeologia Marina: il mare intorno alle Isole Eolie è ricco di relitti e reperti di tutte le epoche sono stati recuperati, particolarmente numerosi in prossimità di scogli pericolosi e secche, o in antichi porti e ridossi.
Ora i reperti sono splendidamente esposti e chisrsmente spiegati nelle suggestive sale dell'antico Castello di Lipari.
