Via Campo Marzio 5, 34100 Trieste The Civic Sea Museum in Trieste includes some of the most important collections dedicated to the Mediterranean region. The exhibition illustrates the maritime history of Trieste, that became an important commercial harbour when it was part of the Austrian Empire. Il Civico Museo del Mare ospita alcune delle pių importanti collezioni dedicate al Mediterraneo. The collections include models (among them, the beautiful model of the Austrian schooner Sfinge, and the sections of the frigate Novara and of the corvette Zrinyi), navigation instruments, anchors and tackles, lights, maps and drawings, reproductions of Adriatic harbours. In the Sala Marconi there are many interesting objects illustrating the invention and the development of the radio: a section of the yacht Elettra, Marconi's laboratory ship, and the radio push-button used by the scientist in Portofino (Italy) to turn on the lights of Sydney town-hall (Australia). Le collezioni comprendono modelli navali (tra essi, lo splendido modello dello schooner Austriaco Sfinge, e la sezione della fregata Novara e della corvetta Zrinyi), strumenti di navigazione, ancore e bitte, luci, mappe e disegni, riproduzioni di porti Adriatici.
