Campanian A - Type 31
In Mediterranean, a number of wrecks revealed important cargos of Campanian pottery, ranging from IV to the first half of the I Century B.C.

mong the most famous wrecks, the Grand Congloue (Marseille, France) Roman vessel (recovered by Commander Cousteau and studied by Professor Benoit), the "Roghi" wreck at Capo Graziano (Aeolian  Islands, Italy), the Spargi wreck (Sardinia, Italy), the Madrague de Giens ship (Ile de Levant, France), the Punta Scaletta vessel (Giannutri Island, Italy).

The black-painted Campanian pottery was replaced by the red-painted Tuscanian production called "Aretina", during the I Century B.C.

La Ceramica Campana nera fu sostituita sul mercato dalla produzione toscana di ceramica rossa chiamata "Aretina" nel corso del I Secolo A.C.
