This is the classic table drawn by Heinrich Dressel for the Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum, printed in Berlin, 1899. It describes the types and the dates of their diffusion: further studies have modified Dressel's first hypoteses. The "Dressel Table", however, was the model and the base for all successive studies on amphorae as trade containers. La Tavola
